We’re getting ready for one of our favorite Tavern traditions – our next Beer vs. Wine Dinner. This time we’re bringing in the finest beverages from Boothbay Craft Brewery and Breakwater Vineyards.
Boothbay Craft Brewery was a dream long before it was a reality, and the brewery is now one that embraces the Maine way of life, and the beauty of being surrounded by a supportive community. Using only the best all natural ingredients, the brewery has developed a loyal following for its incredible brews that will be served at this dinner.
Breakwater Vineyards is located in scenic Owls Head, Maine. From the crisp, light Riesling to the sweeter Mead made with Maine wildflower honey, the vineyard has provided an exquisite selection to accompany the meal.
Each of the four courses prepared by Chef Pendexter for our Beer vs. Wine Dinner will be paired with one beer and one wine, encouraging diners to embrace pairings they might not normally select, and choose their favorites for each course.

Seared Rippa marinated NY strip steak salad with Gorgonzola, candied pecan and rainbow Swiss chard with a Blackberry Pinot noir glaze
Ken Brown Ale vs Honey Mead
Grilled Monkfish tail with local honey & mead glaze served over a watercress Caesar with brown ale croutons
Black Rocks Stout vs Blueberry Wine
Blueberry wine crisp with a stout caramel sauce and local vanilla gelato
